For years, Swing Remix has dreamed of creating opportunities where musicians can learn firsthand about the energy and needs of Lindy Hop dancers. This night makes that vision a reality. 💡 Why this is special: • These musicians will experience the excitement of playing for a crowd that doesn’t just sit quietly—but listens, moves, and responds to every note. • Dancers will feel the pulse of an orchestra that’s learning how to swing for a floor full of Lindy Hoppers. • Musicians will even be encouraged to move to their own music—just as Latin bands often do—to better connect with the dancers. And for Juilliard students just two blocks away—this is your chance to join the fun! A pre-dance lesson will not only teach swing basics, but also explore how dancers count music (6-count & 8-count) compared to musicians.
