💃 Dancing at Islands Brygge – come join us! 🕺 True to tradition, we are once again inviting you to amazing swing dancing at Islands Brygge this year! Find your dancing shoes, bring your friends, and come enjoy the summer, the music, and the great company right by the waterfront. This year we will feature Balboa, a swing dance that originated in Southern California between the '20s–'30s. It’s known for a close embrace, compact footwork, and smooth, fast movement, making it great for crowded dance floors and up-tempo jazz. You’ll often hear it danced to big band and swing-era music. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, there is a spot for you on the floor. We will provide the great atmosphere, and our DJ will deliver the best rhythms to keep your feet moving. 📍 Where: Kulturhuset Islands Brygge (The dance floor right outside the Culture House) 🌧️ Weather Guarantee: If it starts to rain, we will simply move the party inside – so the weather won't stop us! ⏰ Schedule 17:00 - 18:00: Beginner Taster Class (Everyone can join! No prior experience or dance partner required). 18:00 - 21:00: Social Dancing with DJ (The floor is open, the music is playing, and we dance the evening away). 🍹 Food & Drinks There are plenty of options to purchase cold drinks and delicious food at the bar, so you can keep your energy up all evening or enjoy a break with a view over the harbor.
