Swingin the ZOOM - Online w Ben, Ryan, Mia & DJ Victor

We are bringing Swingin the Blues online using the Zoom platform every Thursday (starting April 9) at 5:30pm PDT until we are back in the studio! And just like usual we'll be rotating instructors and DJs. Times are in PDT/California Time/GMT-7 5:15pm Checkin and let Ben show you Zoom tips and tricks *We are using a breakout "room" to run two classes at 5:30* 5:30pm Beginning WCS w/ Ben Morris 5:30pm Int/Adv Partnered WCS w/ Ryan Callen Crutcher 6:30pm Solo WCS (Drills, Styling, Technique, Movement) w/ Mia Primavera 7:30pm Practice and dance to DJed music from Victor Loveira At the end of each class we will turn on everybody's ability to record and do a recap. We're going to be using the Zoom Meeting platform which allows you to see us, us to see you AND you to see each other (so remember to put pants on or turn your camera off). You don't need an account, just download the app to your computer, phone, or tablet from https://zoom.us/download. So while we can't all actually touch or be next to each other, this is a chance for us to still learn, dance, and hang out together. The Beginning and Int/Adv classes will be targeted towards those who have a partner to learn with, although if you are solo you are welcome to try and follow along. The Solo WCS class will be material for both leaders and followers to work on by themselves. Suggestions for dancing with people from afar for those who don't have a partner or want to mix it up a bit! Use the chat function to coordinate with someone and then pin their video as your main screen (you'll still hear the music). Keep in mind their video and the music may be a split second out of sync. - Face each other and do solo swing movement - Call & Response! Go back and forth every 8 or 16 counts...could work for couples or individuals! Or try going back and forth building off and changing a move or styling with each other! - Repeat a set sequence like push, pass, whip "next to" or facing each other (even just sugar pushes facing each other is fun!) - Visually or "Air" lead and follow - fun but challenging! But if you're tight on funds right now, or you think we priced it too high, or you want to support every online WCS thing out there right now...we get it and we still want you to join us at whatever price you can afford... And if financially you're doing great right now and you want to help offset the people who needed to pay less or you think we priced it too low...you are most certainly welcome to pay more.
