You can grab some special dishes for the dinner 20.30 – 21.10 FIRST STEP (free) – for absolute beginners by Golden Swing Society 21.00 – 03.00 SWING DJ SET ON STAGE – NP BIG BAND The NP Big Band was founded in 2008 from an idea by Roberto Resaz, double bassist and leader of “The Nine Pennies.” The goal was to recreate the electrifying atmosphere of the great ballrooms of the Swing Era, with a Big Band that plays in the authentic style of the time...making dance nights even hotter! Building on the foundation of “The Nine Pennies” orchestra - already active for about ten years with a swing repertoire inspired by the “white” bands of the 1920s and ’30s - they added three trumpets, three trombones, another saxophone, and of course a clarinet. Choosing the repertoire? Easy: mostly Benny Goodman, but also Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller and all that swing. The NPBB has performed at the most important Jazz and Swing music festivals in Italy and abroad (Herräng Dance Camp – Sweden, Rock That Swing Festival – Germany, Balboa on the Promenade – France, Ljubljana Swing Festival – Slovenia…) ON THE DANCE FLOOR Strictly Lindy hop Couple Competition ON STAGE – GORDON WEBSTER BAND Pianist Gordon Webster is one of the most sought after musicians in the lindy hop world. His tremendous musicianship and passion, supported by his first-hand knowledge of social dancing, have inspired lindy hoppers at hundreds of dance events worldwide. Drawing on influences as diverse as Fats Waller, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Gene Harris, Webster serves up a smorgasbord of styles unified by one characteristic: irresistible danceability. La sua passione travolgente e il suo talento musicale, insieme alla sua esperienza nel social dancing, ispirano e fanno scatenare ballerini in tutto il mondo.
