Swung Texas - April 9! *With Special Guests Sheven and Anyssa*

We're Back!!! Swung/TX is a WCS social focused on community, learning as much as we can about the dance, and moving forward. Hosted by 3 different members of the Austin scene with differing levels of WCS experience, this social is designed for everyone. Our goal is to be a part of helping the Austin WCS scene regroup after COVID-19 and make it even better than it was before. WHAT: A WCS Social! WHEN: SATURDAY the 9th, 8:30 pm – 1 am WHERE: Austin Uptown Dance COST: $20 (lesson and social) /$12 (only social) DJs: Madison Morris and Emily Huang FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS: Sheven Kekoolani and Anyssa Olivares VACCINE-ONLY and MASK RECOMMENDED. We are pleased to have Sheven Kekoolani and Anyssa Olivares join us this social! They will be teaching a workshop from 8:30 pm-9:30 pm! Basic knowledge of West Coast Swing will be required. Becca Yasskin will be teaching an intro to West Coast Swing workshop for all of your friends who want to join our crazy dance and don't know where to start! This will be happening parallel to Sheven and Anyssa's workshop from 8:30 pm-9:30 pm. Best yet, this beginner workshop will be free with your entry to the social! To attend Sheven and Anyssa's class, the fee is $20 but you attend the social for free. Please remember to bring your vaccination card or a picture of your card. Austin has officially reached stage 2 as of 03/04/2022 with numbers continuing to level out. We have decided to stay vaccinated only with a mask recommended policy.
