More focused on mindset than technique, we'll play at the intersection of Contact Improv and Fusion (partner dancing), and see what we can bring to our shared dances when out in the "wild" of Ecstatic Dance. Eric Spiegel (he/him) is in service of Music, and dedicated to honoring her through improvisation and collaboration. Eric goes to weekends of immersion in individual creative practices and strives to bring the harvest back to his home community. To further foster more of these practices locally, Eric offers his energy as a community connector, facilitator and event organizer for Pulse Partner Dance, Sebastopol Contact Improv, CircleSing Sebastopol and VocaLab. Eric approaches learning each discipline of movement with a focus on deepening in that form - and, loves social dance spaces where we can bring all of our-selves and find the common ground of the moment with other-selves. ~About the DJ: HAJ~ Haj is a globally minded DJ with bass inclinations, pulling from a deep library sourced from around the world—reaching into the past and weaving it into the present moment. His sets flow from bass-heavy rhythms to luminous melodies, tuned to the energy of the moment. Known for transformative dance floor journeys, Haj invites connection, movement, and a shared pulse that feels both ancient and alive. Music of the soul. His current project Aazav, with partner Kai Altair, is a blend of celestial medicine songs and modern production. ~ Reciprocity ~ $20-30, cash or Venmo at door Accessibility Discount available for marginalized peoples, such as BIPOC and LGTBQIA+ folx, and those experiencing financial hardship.
