She carries the lineages of Middle Eastern dance and is deeply inspired by temple dance, popping/locking, waving, ballet, and other Western contemporary styles. Her style is a living tapestry—equal parts reverence and rebellion. A dedicated student of movement, she has trained under master teachers such as Zoe Jakes and has performed alongside visionary artists like Deya Dova. Though dance, Elia not only discovered a path of personal transformation but a calling to guide others. Her work bridges the technical and the transcendental, inviting each dancer to explore embodied presence, deep awareness, and creative liberation. This fusion belly dance class is designed as a gateway into ecstatic movement. We’ll begin with a grounding warm-up to awaken the body and connect with the breath, followed by technique drills rooted in belly dance fundamentals and fused with contemporary, urban, and sacred dance styles. These foundations will flow into a guided freeform segment, where improvisation and musicality open space for playful self-expression. Wether you’re new to dance or a seasoned mover this class offers an inclusive, supportive environment to explore your unique movement language. The intention is to build confidence, unlock creativity, and to prime your body for the ecstatic journey to follow. ~ About the DJs: Plant Bass'd ~ Plant Bass’d is DJ/Producer, husband and wife global bass duo Evan and Suzanne Andreasen. Known for their unique style of playing in a 2X4 setup (2 DJ’s, 4 Decks) which stems from their roots within the underground rave and scratch battle scene of the early 2000’s. They seamlessly build a sonic wave, passing the beat back and forth in unison while overlaying turntablist scratch rhythms and vocal mashups. Blending world beats with bass heavy 808’s. Plant Bass’d has multiple track releases with High Vibe Records, and notable collaborations with artists such as Ruby Chase, SaintVII, and 18Hands. Playing iconic festivals such as Unison Fest, Playthink Fest, High Vibe Fest, Get Lucky, and Global Unity Fest to name a few.
