Tai Chi Principles for Dancing Tango One hour class, followed by one hour Practica Can Tai Chi help you with your Tango? Tai Chi is a choreographed sequence of movements that combines health exercise using principles of Chinese energetic medicine and self-defense. Often called “Meditation in Motion”, practicing Tai Chi is practicing the balance of Yin and Yang, internal and external, body alignment, and aligning with nature by connecting to the sky and ground. All of these qualities are also important aspects of tango. Come have some fun with grounding and partner exercises from Tai Chi that can help you become a better dancer. Bio: Although relatively new to Tango, Sharon has been practicing Qigong, Tai Chi, & other Taoist spiritual and healing arts for 44 years & teaching them for 39. She has studied with many influential teachers in the US, China, India, and Thailand. Sharon was the host as well as one of the top 5 rated presenters at The Shift Network’s Qigong Global Summits from 2020 – 2022.. In 2017 and 2019, she created and directed The Immortal Sisters Conferences, historic gatherings of women committed to “Returning to Tao” and honoring Yin in an overly Yang world.
