Tambores Livres & Movimientos: Drums For The Amazon

Channelling the energy from their parade at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival, Tambores Livres (Free Drums) are joining forces with Movimientos to show solidarity with the Indigenous communities in Brazil and raise funds for their fight in protecting the forest in Amazon area. We will also be promoting the UK’s largest mass tree planting which takes place on the 30th of November. The evening party will bring together two of London’s mightiest Afro-Samba crews Baque de Axé and Tribo, plus live performance art as well as DJ sets from Música Macondo and Jazz FM’s Tim S-Garcia, DJ Cal Jader (Movimientos) + DJ Kika + Hausa (MogaDisco) And from 5pm there’ll be a special daytime programme with talks, workshops and film presentations all focused on the Amazon rainforest.
