Tango Before Dark: An Afternoon Milonga

Join Tamango for an afternoon of tango! Learn about "Argentine Folklore and Tango as Social Life" from IU Folklore & Ethnomusicology's own Dr. Jennie Gubner, learn to dance the Chacarera and other types of Argentine Folklore Dance, and then enjoy an open Milonga for dancing Tango, Chacarera, and more, featuring live music from Tamango! We are also delighted to welcome special guest Alfredo Minetti joining Tamango on piano! Thanks to the Mathers Museum of World Cultures for hosting this wonderful event, free and open to all ages and levels of experience!
