Tango Café - milonga and workshop with Mariano Laplume

We are thrilled to welcome Mariano Laplume back to Tango Café this Saturday. He will teach one of his brilliant tango musicality workshops - the topic this time is "Different Rhythmic / Expressive qualities in SYNCOPATION". Most of you know Mariano - apart from being an excellent teacher he is also a successful tango musician and both skills come together beautifully in these practical workshops (the first two went down very well!). Note that the workshop is slightly longer than our normal weekly classes so the milonga will consequently start / end 15 mins later than usual. Prices remain the same. --- Programme Tango musicality workshop with Mariano Laplume 3:00-4:15pm, £15, including entry to the milonga. Milonga 4:15-8:15 pm, DJ Katerina, £12. ---- Food and drink The cafe is open on Saturdays until 5pm. There is a great choice of bars and restaurants in the immediate areas so easy to plan pre/ post drinks or meal. --- Travel Clapham Junction is an easy 5-minute walk away. Take the St John’s Hill exit. Lots of bus routes too, including some stopping outside the venue. If you drive, the venue is outside the congestion charge zone and outside ULEZ (but the ULEZ starts immediately north of it so take care). Parking is pay and display until 5:30 and free afterwards (or free all day if you are prepared to walk 10 mins to the adjacent parking zones - please see separate pinned post on parking with an annotated map). --- Hope the above is useful and we really look forward to welcoming you!
