An Intensive Week for Experienced Dancers Our tango holidays offer the perfect blend of relaxation and dance. Beyond the daily lessons, the focus is on enjoying the beautiful surroundings, socialising in a warm and friendly atmosphere, and dancing together after a delicious evening meal. Program During the week, Detlef and Melina will teach 15 hours of classes with an emphasis on musicality and improvisation. You may also join the group without participating in the classes. This week promises to be exceptional: we will visit the milonga of our dear friends in Florence and will also welcome them to the villa for one of our evening milongas. Participants The classes are designed for dancers with a solid foundation in tango: good basics and an understanding of musical variation are recommended. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please contact us. For the dance classes, we recommend registering with a partner, though single double-rolers are very welcome. Teachers Melina Sedó & Detlef Engel have been teaching social tango in close embrace since 2001, throughout Europe and the USA. Their work focuses on musicality, communication, and improvisation. Through their teaching and organising, they have helped shape modern social tango, and their students are among the most sought-after partners at milongas and encuentros. In 2013 they began training teachers, and in 2015 they published an instructional Book + Film that has become a standard reference for dancers who value sensitivity and connection. Learn more: www.tangodesalon.de Location Villa Le Ferrette sits high on a hill with breathtaking views of the valley and the spa town of Montecatini Terme, known for its thermal springs. Accommodating up to twenty-three guests, Le Ferrette is ideal for a tango holiday, offering generous indoor and outdoor spaces. There is a lovely pool, an outdoor dining (and dancing!) area, and the estate is surrounded by orchards, olive trees, pines, and hiking trails. For those seeking extra activity, there are areas for volleyball, football, basketball, and badminton. All rooms have private bathrooms; some offer separable beds. There are no dedicated single rooms, so a single booking corresponds to a double room for single use. Prices per person: Double Room: 1280€ (without classes 980€) Single Room: 1580€ (without classes 1280€) Additionally: Right now, the number of participants is small. We therefore charge an extra 180€ "small group fee". If 4 more people sign up, this amount will be waived. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Some rooms have separable or extra beds.
