Meet your teachers 💃🕺
Jessie Kennedy
Jessie is a well-known figure in Edinburgh’s tango community, with over 30 years of experience teaching, organising tango events, classes and milongas. She has been a familiar face at The Counting House in Edinburgh, helping create and nurture the local tango scene for many years.
Lucía Ohyama
Lucía is an Argentine professional tango dancer, teacher and producer with over 25 years of experience in tango. She developed a large part of her career in Buenos Aires, performing, teaching and producing tango projects internationally. She has recently moved to Edinburgh and is excited to share her passion for Argentine tango with the local community.
Together, we’re looking forward to creating a warm, friendly space where you can learn, dance, meet new people and, most importantly, have a wonderful time discovering the joy of Argentine tango.
Whether you’re completely new to tango or already have some experience, our aim is for everyone to feel comfortable, connected and excited to dance.
