Tango Salon & Stage Intensive Training with Danilo & Yuliana

Get Ready for a Pre-Festival Training with Danilo & Yuliana on Saturday & Sunday (February 11 & 12) We are excited to introduce Danilo Maddalena to Los Angeles Tango Community for the first time. Danilo is the organizer of the official Italian & European Tango Championships and also regularly judges and organizes other tango championships in different European countries. On top of that he is currently running a succesful tango school in Rimini, Italy where he lives. Danilo has an extensive dance background and has a lot of knowledge about dance in general as a performing arts. He has performed several times with the legendary: Alejandra Mantinan and other prominent tango dancers around the world. We thought it would be perfect to have him share his knowledge with LA tangueros and perform at a few milongas in Los Angeles as well as at SoCal Tango Championship & Festival. ____________________________________________________________ Special Workshops with Danilo Maddalena & Yuliana Basmajyan Intermediate/Advanced Level (partners only). Suitable for both competitors & non-competitors. These workshops are held 1 week BEFORE the festival, on SAT Feb 11 & SUN Feb 12. Saturday (Salon) 1:30-2:45 - Mastering the musicality of different orchestras 3:00-4:15 - Different dynamics and possibilities within parallel and cross systems 4:30-5:45 - Smooth figures and transitions for better navigational flow Sunday (Stage) 2:00-3:15 - Interpreting the breath in the dance 3:30-4:45 - Dynamic movements to create stage impact 5:00-6:30 - Q&A session and semi-private NOTE: For Q & A, please submit your questions 1 day before the workshops.
