Jeg traff Luis i Buenos Aires for noen år siden og jeg husker at vi har danset en av de beste milonga noensinne! Luis flyttet til Finaland og nå har vi bestemt oss å dele kunnskapen til tango. Han er en utmerket danser og ikke minst “un loco “ :) Det blir en helg med mye tango og ikke minst Chacarrera og Malabo! Det må du lære deg før du drar på store eventer. Luis Angel Rojas is a dancer of Argentine tango and folklore. She started dancing at the age of 6 and has dedicated her professional life as a teacher and dancer to growing up and studying tango and folklore. She has been taught by several prominent Argentine tango dancers from Buenos Aires. Luis has toured Argentina as a tango and folklore teacher, performer and tango DJ in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Russia and Europe, including Germany, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Estonia and France. He has advanced three times to the semi-finals of the Argentine Tango World Championships in Buenos Aires in 2021, 2018 and 2016. Luis has also achieved 1st place in the Argentine salon bar in the opening rounds of Tango BA's Mendoza in 2016. In addition, he has won e.g. "Certamen Folklórico Nacional Atahualpa Yupanqui" in the category "Tango Couple" (Rosario). As an Argentine folklore dancer, Luis has been a member of various dance groups in the cities of Santa Fe and Paraná, Argentina. She has been a director of traditional Argentine folk dances for children and in 2012 she represented the province of Entre Rios in the opening series of the famous folklore competition Cosquin in the series "Malambo Individual", winning the Colón competition. I am a co-organizer of Oslove Tango Weekend and Milonga Tiki - Tiki. In Buenos Aires i have been studing with many amazing teachers. Paola Taccetti, Alejadra Gutty, Pebete Godoy, Natalia Games, Gabriel Angio, Carolina Couto, Moira Castellano, Los Velis, Mariella Sametband and el Peque and plenty of my Argentinian friends - all tango teachers. In Europe - el mastro Sebastian de la Vallina was the one who made me fall in love with tango! In desember 2019 i have formed a dance couple with an amazing dancer & teacher Gaston Salazar. In tango I enjoy most the quality of the embrace and the walk. That's what you will learn from me. Hugging and walking.
