Tango Swing Social

*TANGO SWING SOCIAL* Tango Swing Social, born with the idea of creating a common space for these two dances full of energy and passion. The main objective of this event is to learn the Tango and Swing and put into practice your acquired knowledge of these social dances and of course INTEGRATE people who come from each of these dance communities for three hours of fun and education. We want to create a special place in LA where we can share our passion, meet new people and exchange ideas. Four instructors with experience teaching two fantastic dances, and an intensive practice session to follow. Come on! This will be an afternoon not to be missed! SCHEDULE 4:00-4:40 Argentine Tango class with Gimena and Tomas. 5:00-5:40 Swing/Lindy Hop class with Elizabeth and Marshall. 5:40- 7:00 PRACTICE The music will alternate between these two dance styles and help from the instructors will be available if you have any questions or concerns with any material taught in the class. INSTRUCTORS Marshall Watson: Marshall Watson has been swing dancing since 1998. Marshall has performed on stage and on film in numerous productions. Most recently Marshall has had the opportunity to dance for The Plain White Tee’s, Katy Perry, The Jonas Bros, Palo Nutini and other notable artists. Marshall is also a National Jitterbug Championship finalist and continues to compete and perform nationwide. Marshall is known for his smooth and energetic style. Elizabeth Ashworth: Elizabeth Ashworth began swing dancing in 2005. She has performed on stage, in commercials, and music videos and has danced all over the United States and Europe. Elizabeth loves the sound, the style, and the passion of the New Orleans scene and mixes it with her traditional LA style.
