Tango Tea 1913 @ The Argentine Residence

Originating in 1880s Argentina and Uruguay, alongside the banks of the River Plate, the first wave of the tango craze hit Europe in 1913. In the UK, the milonga - naturally - manifested itself in the form of 'tango teas', where social dancing was accompanied by the chance to take afternoon tea. Join us at the Argentine Residence in London to travel to the past at this magical milonga, and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with an Argentine twist of homemade gourmet alfajores. Five hours of pure dancing with the DJs Alessia Cogo & Ivo Ambrosi Wine will also be served towards the end of the evening! Also, beginners can take in a taster tango lesson from 2:30pm. to 3:15pm. Feel free to don your best 1910s/20s/30s outfit! BOOKINGS: This event is managed by the Anglo Argentine Society and all the proceedings will be administered by them.
