About this Event
An introduction by TangoE14 to the amazing complexity, simplicity and joy that is Argentine Tango. What is this dance about? Where did it come from? How did it evolve? Why is it so special.
Everybody knows ‘It takes two to tango’.
Some people understand it as a ‘conversation’ without words.
In 75 minutes TangoE14 shows you an overview of the rich culture that is Argentine tango and lets you try and feel the intimate and beautiful partner dance that comes with the Argentine tango music.
We will do this with as few words, and as many different physical experiences as we can.

ABOUT TangoE14
‘TangoE14’ was started by Tony in 2009, and joined by Anita a couple of years later.
We run usually on Saturday afternoons, 1 – 5pm, at Saint John’s Community Centre, 39 Glengall Grove,
E14 3NE; near Crossharbour DLR.
The purpose is to provide ongoing tuition, practice, encouragement and dance opportunity to anyone interested in Argentine Tango. It is not about just learning a few steps. It is not a competition, or just showing off. Argentine Tango is an ongoing cultural pleasure that once started, can continually grow and be enjoyed all your life.
