Tango Salon is my main style and I am constantly improving. If I would try to explain what tango means to me I would say this is connection. Connection to yourself and to your partner. I believe that constantly working on personal tango technique and taking responsibility for the quality of your own movement is the first step of showing respect to your partner. One of the reasons I like individual tango techniques is that you have enough time and space to observe your body abilities and improve them. During that time he has toured over twenty countries with artistic residencies in Buenos Aires, Paris, Berlin, Florence, Budapest, and India, where he will be touring this spring. Born near Los Angeles and raised in Portland OR, in his early tango years Dominic was afforded opportunities to attend classes by many of the great tango instructors who preceded him. He has collaborated alongside many of the world’s top tango maestros and maestras, including Sigrid Van Tilbeurgh, Cecilia Piccinni, Jaimes Friedgen, and Sebastian Arce. ********* Dominic and Anastasiya met in Kyiv during one of his Eastern European tours and were reintroduced in December 2022 in San Francisco. They are excited to have the opportunity to collaborate for this week’s Milonga Genesis and are looking forward to sharing their passion and knowledge with the community.
