About Gaby:
This porteña Tango dancer was born in Buenos Aires in 1985 and, despite having been involved in
numerous dance styles since she was a kid, around 2005 she discovered Tango and, with it, her
true passion and vocation.
Gaby has been teaching regularly in Buenos Aires since 2012, the hometown of Tango. In 2015
she started touring abroad and never stopped from then: a versatile professional, Gaby teaches
and dances both roles and she has had the chance of working not only on her own but also along
with several colleagues teaching workshops and seminars, participating in international festivals
and performing in many cities of the US, Brazil, Mexico, Europe, Uruguay and Peru. Some of the
colleagues with whom she works / has worked with are Diego Amorín, Vinicius Souza, Krishna
Olmedo, Guillermo Cerneaz and Tango World Championship Inés Muzzopappa, with whom she
traveled through the US in 2022 in a ground-breaking tour of two women performing both roles in
Tango.
Apart from her continuous training in Tango and in different related physical disciplines, Gaby has a
degree on Pharmacy at Universidad de Buenos Aires and she has also complemented her Tango
training with two post-graduate courses in formal education at the Facultad Latinoamericana de
Ciencias Sociales-FLACSO Argentina: one on Tango Genealogy & Political History in Argentina
and another one on Cultural Management & Communication.
She was co-founder and organizer of Milonga Sísmica and Lirondo Milonga in Buenos Aires,
where she has also taken part in the creation and development of the non-profit Civil Association of
TTD: Trabajadores del Tango Danza. As part of the Directive Board of Members she has
volunteered carrying out numerous activities for the promotion of Tango, the community growth, the
promotion of the pedagogical training for Tango professionals and the appreciation and valorization
of the Tango profession.
Relentless researcher, student and teacher, Gaby is passionate, joyful and intense in both her
dancing and teaching, as well as a wholehearted social dancer. Her pedagogical approach for
classes is to always create conscious, safe and enjoyable learning environments, with a deep
technical foundation and a targeted application for social dancing. The compass that guides her
pedagogy is the training of our individual bodies as an interpretative, expressive and
communicational tool to be able to comprehend and amplify the languages in which we can share
and communicate with one another, broadening our tools for choosing what we want to say and
how we want to express it when we embrace each other in the dance. Gaby continues her
formation uninterruptedly, in both roles of Tango, with the best professionals to keep learning,
challenging herself and growing as a teacher and as an artist, always. For her, Tango is a neverending journey.
