Descriptions of workshops:
✨Microleading and Biomechanics
This workshop introduces the concept of an effortless, instinctive way of leading based on natural way our bodies are functioning. The technicst helps reduce unnecessary movements for both leaders and followers, making the dance more comfortable, efficient, and empathetic. We will focus on increasing body awareness, building self-confidence, and improving dance quality by eliminating “noise” in body movement. Application: We will explore basic linear movements—forward, backward, and side steps—as well as leg projections in all directions using free leg to produce cross, back cross, and arriving to volcadas
✨ Pivot & Ocho
We will examine how to produce a pivot correctly, with proper use of the free and standing leg. Focus areas include posture, stability in pivots, and technique in ochos. We will also cover simple ways to practice ochos at home. Application: Exploration of giros.
✨ Navigation in the Ronda
We will explore the function of the ronda, how to enter it, and how to navigate within it.
In combination with more detailed focus on technic of microleading, walk and pivoting we will become more comfortable in moving in ronda.
* For leaders: how to move safely and improvise.
* For followers: how to refine technique by adapting to different levels of rotation, smaller or larger steps, and how to maintain self-confidence while adjusting. We will also practice how to communicate changes clearly between partners.
✨ Embrace – Empathy – Dancing in Zero Space
The embrace is how we communicate and connect.
* By communication, we mean exchanging information.
* By connection, we mean sharing emotions. In this workshop, we will explore how to create a comfortable, supportive embrace; how to adjust it during the dance; how to move between close and open embrace; and how to set healthy boundaries within the embrace.
