Welcome. How much can you reveal yourself in just one step? Deepen your connection with yourself and with others through the physical expression of the art of Argentine Tango. In this “secret danced between two people,” we prioritize the flow of energy between two beings over choreographic sequences. Perhaps that’s why when we observe Tango dancers, the seamless coordination of their movements often seems like a mystery. Unlock that mystery by entering the magical space for self expression that this dance form provides, and learn the secrets of physical and energetic connection that gave birth to the phrase “It takes two to tango”. This workshop is for anyone who wants to dive deeper into their relationship with themselves, their bodies, the present moment, and the ways with which they connect with others! The roles in this workshop will be non-gendered and open, meaning that all participants will take the role of proposer and interpreter (leader and follower) equally. This workshop will, amongst other areas, look at individual expression and embodiment, including a body scan and an exploration of how we walk and move. Participants will have the opportunity to connect and dance with multiple partners in break out rooms.
