Tantra Meets Sensual Bachata

Sensual Bachata is a movement form from Dominican Republic that includes very simple foot patterns. The magic happens through the connection between partners, both physical and energetic. As well as the turns and body movement patterns. We will keep things simple for beginners yet interesting for experienced bachata dancers. Tantra is the ultimate energy enhancer. Bringing more heart energy and spiritual connection to the art of everyday life. When we practice tantra we learn to access Universal Divine Love and the life force moving through us to enhance our joy and connection to Source. No experience in Tantra is necessary, rudimentary dance skills are preferred but not necessarily any bachata or other latin dance experience. Lourdes will start us out with a Tantra Connection Puja, which is a ceremonial way of bringing everyone into a very sweet and sacred heart connection within themselves and with each other. Once we are floating and grounded in Tantric Presence, Luis Fernando will teach us Sensual Bachata footwork and simple movement patterns to bring the magic to life. At the end we will allow time for mingling and continued social dancing so you can play with what you’ve learned. This event is for singles as well as couples. No need to bring a partner, we will be rotating partners throughout the evening. As always, I will begin with a conversation on consent and boundaries, all expression is welcomed, and all invitations are optional. There is no ssxual touch or nudity in this workshop. Yet you will go home with new dance skills, perhaps a new hobby, and your heart open and soaring. Please bring a water bottle and wear clothing that makes you feel attractive. We'll be sitting in chairs instead of the floor, so ladies it's ok to wear a dress or skirt if that's your preference. This is a yoga studio and shoes aren't allowed beyond the front shelves, so we'll be barefoot for this class.
