Teachers Training Week in Sofia

"Teachers Training Week" presents Ariadna Beltran and Simon Bressanelli, two European dancers that are truly in love with African American swing dances, predominantly Lindy Hop and Authentic Jazz. They are passionate about these dance forms, especially in the context of their cultural traditions, their values and their place as an artform. During the weekend they will share their perspective and understanding of this amazing dance. To be successful in this endeavor you need to strive to have clear goals, sustainable attitude, mindful being, emotional intelligence, to work on technique, rhythm, communication and training philosophies as well as deeper work on topics including "what is appropriation?", "what is appreciation?", "what best practices can we adopt when working in a culture that is not ours?" and more. As this is not easy and we believe that sharing is caring, this event aims to bring professional swing dance teachers together to exchange know-how, best practices, techniques and irreplaceable skills of teaching the dances we all love and how to build a strong community around them. <3 Learning opportunities <3 *The event will have workshops for dance instructors and for the dancers! ***Daytime Training Module*** - 90 EUR 14, 15, 16 & 17th February (15:00 - 17:00) – Total of 8 hours of training during the day (2 hours each day) and practical teaching in class during the weekend workshops with students with a final feedback session from Simon and Ari and party on Saturday (18.02).
