Technical Paths: Contact Improvisation Class for all Levels with Isaiah & Alexandra

Contact Improvisation Class with Isaiah and Alexandra 'Technical Paths' for contact-curious bodies, as well as those who just love to keep moving. Sunday morning / 28 June / 10:30 - 13:00 Contact Improvisation is a movement art form that encourages freedom of expression while also listening deeply to self, others, and the space. This class ‘Technical Paths’ is an exploration of the movement principles that underly this dance. This class will have two main focuses: - We will spend time tuning the body for dancing, creating an environment for deep listening of what is present. - We will introduce a few specific pathways to be clear about sharing weight, with possible invitations to fly, fall and move collaboratively. We will work with creating dynamic interdependent structures that allow us to move in a completely different way than we can move alone. This class is crafted in a way to introduce new bodies towards Contact Improvisation, while also offering a space for experienced dancers to practice their relationship with physical forces.
