The 11th Korea Swing Festival & Korea Swing Championship 2009

We invite you to the 11th KSF(Korea Swing Festival) & KSC(Korea Swing Championship) 2009. It is one of the famous swing dance festival in Korea. To mark the 10th anniversary of Korea swing dance, We will be gathering more than 2,000 dancers at olympic gymnasium in Korea. =================================== #The 11th Korea Swing Festival -Live band -Swing lessons for very beginners(local instructor) -Free dance time -Line dance -Showcase (Nick Williams & Carla LaRue Heiney) -Best dressed competition -Food and drinks will be served.^^ #Korea Swing Championship 2009 -Team performance (Jitterbug Division, Lindyhop Division) -Individual performance (Champion Division) -Jam style (Slow, Medium, Fast) =================================== < "Nick & Carla Welcome Party" > Time: 18th friday, September, 7pm to 11:30pm Location: Yaksu Station, Musical House 4th floor Admission: ₩ 15,000 (includes one drink) Program: 9:00 to 11:00: Live band 'Natsuko and Her Soul Food Cafe' Performance by Nick & Carla and welcome jam < Nick & Carla Workshop (prearrangement) > Date: 19th Saturday, September 7:30pm to 10:45pm Location: shell we dance in Apgujeong In terms of class descriptions: 1. Improvisation in the Dance - how to listen to each other better and be more spontaneous with the music - inter+ 4. Nick & Carla's favorite Stylings - inter+ / adv It's going to be a 90 min class each. Improvisation: Well, the class title itself kind of describes the class focus, but here is a little bit more. Improvisation in the Dance - how to listen to each other better and be more spontaneous with the music - inter+ We will be showing ways to allow for more openness and creativity in the dance. Hopefully allowing people to have more of a two-way conversation and allow for both the leader and the follower to express himself or herself in the dance. Building off of each other's ideas and leading to a more rewarding, musical, spontaneous, fun dance. 4. Nick & Carla's favorite Stylings & moves - inter+ / adv Nick & Carla's Favorites: What we LOVE about Lindy Hop and what we are working on right now!! < Preliminary competition of lindyhop team sector, lindyhop individual sector and Jam style all sector> Time: 19th Saturday, September. 3pm to 6pm Location: shell we dance in Apgujeong Judge: Handance, Nick, Carla * Competition will be held in the order of lindyhop team sector, lindyhop individual sector and Jam style all sector. Since the specific time depends on the number of participating teams, after deadline for applications (14th, September), concrete time of preliminary contests will be fixed.
