The Bachata Collective Term 1: FREE 'Come & See' Class

Do you love social dancing? Are you someone who wants to really learn and study the intricacies and important aspects of bachata? Are you progressing at the rate you’d like to or does your dancing stagnate for periods of time? Are you as effective as you’d like to be on the dance floor? Eg. Do you find yourself able to lead or follow a high number of dancers to a high level? And are you at the point where you’ve realised that learning turn patterns alone is not the answer to becoming the best dancer you can be? If you said yes or no accordingly, we’d like to invite you to the Gold Coast’s newest exciting movement… 🙌🏼 The Bachata Collective! 🍾 The Bachata Collective (or, TBC) is a collective of bachata dancers (you) who have a love and excitement of progressing their bachata to the highest possible level, enjoying the journey along the way. As part of TBC, you’ll learn the highest level technique and concepts that we can teach, growing your technique, musicality, connection, lead and follow, creativity and fun on the dance floor rapidly. So how is The Bachata Collective different? The Bachata Collective is different from other classes in that it’s going to be for intermediate and advanced dancers only and there are no drop-in casual spots, meaning that every week you’ll get to be in a class with a group of dancers that are all of similar level and commitment, enabling us to really dive deep into advanced teachings that will suit the level you’re at. Class goes for 75 mins and will run somewhat like a masterclass every week where we focus specifically on a certain technique or principle (did you know there are 11 principles that make up bachata sensual?) for the first portion of the class, making sure that you really grasp it, and then put this into a unique and stylish combination, workshopping it along the way so that you get the more nuanced aspects of it. We’ll also bring in creative ways to learn things like connection, presence, creativity, musicality, listening to your partner, and a WHOLE lot more that will make a massive difference to your bachata. So if any of this intrigues you, we’d like to invite you to our FREE ‘Come & See’ Class on January 17th. Registration is at 7:30pm, for a 7:45pm class start. Please make sure you're on time. We will take you through our style of class, and then at the end explain how TBC will run i.e. term dates, cost etc (Term 1 starts Jan 24th). And it will also give us an idea of your level of dancing, and if The Bachata Collective is right for you. This class is completely free and there's no pressure to join afterwards, so if you have any interest at all, we’d love to see you there.
