The Blues of Black Voices - Swing DJ Relay

Welcome back for our free monthly event connecting dancers, musicians and newer & veteran DJs over our appreciation for jazz music and history. This month we are thrilled to feature guest spotlight DJ, instructor and Frankie Manning Ambassador Joshua McLean (Seattle, US) who will be sharing his love for Black Blues vocalists. Join us in the virtual DJ booth, share your favourite swing songs and come nerd out with our international DJ community. Newer DJs: we would love to hear the tunes that make you want to dance! Our first 'thread the needle' set is your chance to play musical tag and help us build a unique collaborative playlist. Then we'll turn it over to Joshua for the Spotlight set, which is always a great opportunity to learn more about jazz history. And finally we'll continue from where our Spotlight DJ left off and open the floor to you again so we can build a second playlist together based on this month's theme and featuring Black Blues vocalists.
