Wednesdays at On Broadway | 435 Broadway St., SF A midweek night out done properly: Live swing music. Lindy Hop classes. Social dancing under low lights. Classic cocktails at the bar. A room that feels like it’s been hosting dancers for decades. This week, we’re turning up the mischief for our theme party night: Where the Wild Things Dance. Come dressed for the jungle, the dance floor, or somewhere fabulously in between — animal prints, leafy greens, creaturely accessories, safari flair, feathers, furs, stripes, spots, vines, claws, tails, and anything that says “untamed but ready to swing out.” Costumes encouraged, elegance welcome, wildness strongly supported. About the Band There’s always a spark the moment the Cosmo Alleycats start — Emily Day’s voice cuts through the room, the rhythm hits, and suddenly the floor is alive. Longtime favorites of the San Francisco music scene, the Alleycats bring a polished-but-playful sound that moves easily between vintage swing, old sweet songs, and soulful R&B grooves. Their sets have that rare mix of musical sharpness and wink-in-the-eye looseness: refined enough for the jazz heads, inviting enough to pull the whole room onto the floor.
