The Cut is an advanced-level West Coast Swing intensive for competitors focused on one question: What actually gets you into finals and what it takes to own the moment once you’re there? This class goes beyond patterns and combinations, delving into the technical clarity, musical choices, styling decisions, and competitive strategy that consistently resonate well with judges. Eligibility & Format: - Open to competitors with 10+ Novice points - Dancers without the required points may attend with a registered partner - Point-qualified competitors will rotate partners, mirroring real Jack & Jill conditions - Partner-registered dancers will remain together for the full intensive Focus Areas: - Dancing with intention under pressure - Musicality that feels authentic, not performative - Styling that supports connection and readability - Strategic choices that elevate your presence without overselling - Developing a competitive identity that judges recognize and remember This is about polish, decision-making, and confidence!
