The edges of CI - a taste of "Touch & Play" in Montreal with Ulli Wittemann

After some wonderfully flowing more technical Contact classes, which I was happy to facilitate for the Montreal community, at the Sutton Jam and in Val-David, I am excited to share some more dynamic and "edgy" material here in the city. TIME Wednesday, 9th of August, 6:30 to 10pm meeting from 6pm PRICE Give what you can- suggested scale $20 to $35 REGISTRATION Since there is a massive wave of positive responses and interested people, please register by sending me a personal message saying "I'm definitely coming!" with your full name! The studio can take only up to 28 people, so first come first serve! ;-) CONTENT The workshop will consist of several parts- a dynamic/playfight part, some exercises about noticing and communicating our boundaries, naming and exploring different qualities of touch/interaction and energy and finally using, integrating and enjoying these tools in a free jam situation. We will end the evening by exchanging about our experience in a sharing circle. We will begin by creating a safe atmosphere of presence and listening before warming up our bodies and getting into playing with each other. The exercises will be easy and simple, accessible for every body with or without experience in dance or martial arts. The material is a collection of tools, which I derived from different martial arts forms, acting and fooling, Contact Improvisation, Tantra and Authentic Relating. It's about truly meeting each other, in whatever energy. May it be dynamic or sensual, playful or artistic. Sexual energy is welcome in this format and in some exercises or during the free jamming you may choose, how much clothing feels right for you in each moment. If you have been dreaming of wrestling in a safe and conscious environment or want to try out dancing in underwear or even without clothes, this might be an opportunity. We will create this space together and I'm happy to guide you!
