join us this month and welcome for the first time at the Shed Sean Wilson KIZOMBA CLASS Intermediate level with Sean Wilson 20:45 till 21:45 Biography: Sean Wilson, known professionally as Dj Britânico, is a British DJ, events promoter and dance teacher from Manchester, England. Widely credited as creating the Kizomba scene in the north west of England, he has been hosting Kizomba events in Manchester and beyond since 2011. In 2011, he created Kizomba Manchester, hosting regular Kizomba, Palop and Latin events including; club nights, dance classes and live performances in Manchester as well as the rest of the UK. In 2013, he became resident Kizomba and Afro Dj at Leeds biggest Latin multi-room event, ‘Calle Ocho Leeds’, and in 2018 co-promoted Calle Ocho offshoot event ‘Lusofonica’. In 2014, he became the resident Kizomba Dj at the UK’s largest Latin dance event, Salsa, Bachata & Kizomba at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. As well as playing all over the uk, he has played internationally since 2013, including regular performances in Lisbon, Portugal. He has also played in Madrid, Spain and in the USA in Las Vegas, Seattle and Portland. In 2018 and 2019, he played at the Nottinghill Carnival, as part of the Batuke! Festival taking part in London, and was also involved with the organisation of those events. Winner of the Muxima ‘Best promoter award’ in 2018, he is often considered to be one of the most successful and respected promoters, djs and dance teachers in the UK. Since November 2020, he has hosted a weekly Kizomba radio shows on internet radio station ‘Bar Latina Radio’. The station is available in over one hundred territories globally.
