As you all know I have a HUGE passion for dancing – some might say I’m a little crazy or even slightly obsessed! In April 2019, I will be travelling to Sydney for the Australian Samba Congress. This one of a kind event in Australasia brings dance enthusiasts from all over the motu together to learn and experience Brazilian arts and culture. Their mission is to promote the essence of Samba, foster the integrity of Brazilian performing arts culture and to bridge the geographical gap between Australia and Brazil through education and exposure to authentic Brazilian culture. As part of the weekend, I am also entering the very first Australian Samba Open in which 20 competitors will battle it out for the title and crown (eek!!). The winner will receive a full pass to the 2020 Australian Samba Congress AND the 2020 Brazil Samba Congress, as well as some other amaaaazing gifts. Unfortunately this two days of jam-packed Brazilian dance workshops, cultural education, performances and competition doesn’t come cheap! I am asking you, my friends and family for your support to raise the $$$ to get me there so I can continue on my journey to being one step closer of fulfilling my dancing dreams.
