The Leader Lab - With Marcos

As leaders, we spend countless hours learning how to lead: where to place our feet, how to initiate a movement, where our arms need to go and what comes next. But how much time do you spend developing the quality of your own movement from the ground up? The Leader Lab is a 2.5-hour leaders-only bootcamp with Marcos, built around one simple idea: great leading starts with great dancing. Instead of collecting more patterns, we’re taking an evening to work on YOU as a dancer. Your movement. Your timing. Your body. Your connection to the music. Your intention. Your creativity. And ultimately, your ability to stop simply executing movements and actually dance them. Because when you become more comfortable, confident and expressive in your own body, something else happens too: your leading becomes clearer, more connected and more enjoyable. There is more room to play with the music, more space for your follower to dance with you, and much more joy in the dance for both of you. And yes… followers are probably going to notice. 😉 WHY THE LEADER LAB? We see followers investing in their own movement and technique all the time: solo classes, styling, body movement, technique training… So leaders of the Netherlands: this is your invitation to do the same. ABOUT MARCOS Marcos started his dance journey in 2009 and has spent more than 15 years developing a distinctive style influenced by Zouk Revolution, LambaZouk, Samba de Gafieira, Forró, Zouk R&B, Urban Kiz and Neo Zouk. Rather than limiting himself to one style, Marcos has continuously explored different movement languages and taken inspiration from dancers across Europe to develop his own way of moving, connecting and interpreting music. Since 2019, he has taught Brazilian Zouk together with Lisa in Utrecht and internationally. But perhaps the best place to understand Marcos' philosophy is the social dancefloor: he is known for dancing from the beginning of a party until the very end, dancing with everyone, and for the infectious joy and playfulness he brings into his dances. He has even received multiple festival awards for Best Social Dancer. His philosophy together with Lisa is simple: comfort over performance, and fun over perfectionism. And that's exactly what he’ll be bringing into The Leader Lab! LEVEL: All levels of Brazilian Zouk leaders are welcome. You should be comfortable with the 10 Brazilian Zouk Fundamentals so we can focus on developing your dancing rather than learning the basic vocabulary. 🔥 Leaders only. 2.5 hours.
