Calling all Flappers and Hoppers! Time to get the '20s roaring again! Step underground and back in time with the Uptown Swing Dance Company, one of the UK's leaders in vintage dance, music and culture. Jump straight in with a CHARLESTON CLASS* before letting loose on the dancefloor, to the sound of PALACE AVENUE SWING, a hard-swinging ensemble led by jazz maestro Hugo Simmonds. With PERFORMANCES from Uptown Swing and The Bee's Knees (and a surprise or two), and dusty grooves spun by 78rpm record collectors, you won't wonder why they called them the roaring '20s. Part of VAULT Festival Lates, this event takes place in the amazing and enchanting Flairground, in the vaults beneath Waterloo station.
