The Course starts on Friday at 18:00 with the 2 hour Competitors workshop which is included in the 8 hour course. Full Course (additional 6 hours) Full course covers in depth all you need to become a sought after judge in WCS competitions. Topics covered include - - What the heck is swing content and how to identify percentages - Differing points of view being on time and having critical timing - Identifying those that just go through the motions and identifying those that maintain clean critical timing, the difference between timing and rhythm, foot placement and technique. - Identifying balance issues and who's causing the issue spotting good connection and identifying connection issues. - Is the leader actually leading? is the follower actually following? spotting adjustments and corrections for the other side of the dance...who's hijacking and who's saving the dance. - Recognizing more difficult movements and styling, ease of execution and the role it plays in a confident performance. - Identifying variation, was it the leader or the follower? - -- How to identify who caused any inefficiency seen in the dance. - How to set up your judging sheet. - Actual mock judging of competitions throughout the weekend of Baltic Swing - Pre & Post competition discussion with the chief judge about what you just saw and how you scored.
