The Pulse Awesome Weekender 2020 Year three! How did that happen! We are proud to announce next years date - Friday 15th to Monday 18th May, 2020. Thank you to everyone who came in 2019, and an even bigger thank you to those that have attended two years running! Your loyalty is appreciated more than we can say. Thank you for all your feedback from 2019, both written and verbal, we have already spoken to the hotel regarding some issues and will address others ready for next year. We have once again managed to persuade the fabulous teachers we had last year to come back and teach you more great classes as requested: • Tracey Barnes – Ballroom and Modern Jive - CONFIRMED. • Melvin Young – Ballroom and Modern Jive - CONFIRMED. • Sara White – Blues and musicality - CONFIRMED. • Paul at Pulse – West Coast Swing, Modern Jive and Salsa - CONFIRMED. • Becky at Pulse – West Coast Swing, Modern Jive and Salsa - CONFIRMED. • POSSIBLY MORE TO BE CONFIRMED! We also have awesome DJ’s to bring you the best music around: • Kerry B - Jive - CONFIRMED. • Sara White – Blues - CONFIRMED. • Paul at Pulse – Jive, WCS - CONFIRMED. • We are hoping to build on this list - watch this space! The Royal Hotel is a beautiful venue situated close to the sea front. It overlooks a lovely garden winding down to the sea. There are lots of ice cream vendors close by and miles of walks along the beautiful coastline in and around Scarborough. Some of our dancers have enjoyed taking advantage of the wonderful walks available in the area. We will offer different styles of music to suit the teaching. We have listened to the feedback and liaised with the Hotel so they can offer lovely hotel rooms for your comfort (as with last year we have taken into account the room requests you have passed on and hope to be able to accommodate each and every one), an on site bar serving alcohol and warm drinks (water will be provided FREE), comfortable sitting areas to chill and chat - and all this within a short walk to the town centre! We will be offering • Friday night fun class to break the ice. • Friday night teacher introductions and demo. • Saturday and Sunday workshops. • Freestyles Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. • Relaxed Tea Dance Sunday afternoon (this maybe changed to an extra class). • Quiz’s each evening. • Fancy dress night. • *Other possible items to be added!* • PLEASE NOTE – a more detailed program of events will be available nearer to the event. Beginners to advanced dancers welcome. Private lessons also available - Individual teachers will make their own bookings nearer to the event, so please contact them directly to book. Accommodation options: Only £179 per person, for Friday and Saturday (based on two sharing). £219 per person, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (based on two sharing). Upgrades also available. We have held the prices from 2018/2019. *Single supplements will apply. All options include: Bed, Breakfast, Evening Meal and access to all workshops and freestyles. Lunch is NOT included.
