The Return of Figment Fridays Micro Festival

The future is a fallacy, and Fridays are just a Figment of our imagination. Everything is about perception, and the past only exists due to synaptic pulses of moment reflections. We only remember our memories as vividly as the last time we remembered them, and we think we remember there was a micro-festival last year filled with dance, tea, delicious food, workshops, fire spinning, kittens (ok you’re right, there weren’t any kittens), a sleepover, and community building at its finest. Since we aren’t really sure, Pacifica and The Elemental Production have decided to get Figment Fridays started again and include the special guest of Synaptic Saturday to accompany the good time. All the usual suspects of 2 ecstatic dance dj sets each night, a fire spinning pit (open to experienced spinners, and a class will be offered for new folks who want to get involved), workshops, yoga, tea service, a cacao ceremony, a sacred fire in the Sky Lodge, open mic, local vendors and the energy and love that each and every one of you bring to our community center. This time we are bringing some new offerings to the magic. First and foremost there will be two nights of dancing and sleepovers with the option of camping on the grounds. We will also be offering disk golf on our course (2nd day and night only), a song circle, local musicians, a craft area, a healing space, a poetry share, Authentic Relating games, projection mapping, and so much more! And the food (brought to us by Ferryn Caldwell)! All organic vegan menu serving nourishing soups and bowls, raw wraps, breakfast, deserts, and herbal elixirs including kava, liquid chocolate, maca latte, etc. Supporting local seasonal produce that feeds your soul. Figment? Thankfully it is a reality. We are also rolling out Pacifica’s membership program in order to fund the nonprofit community space we all hold dear to our hearts. Becoming a member with Pacifica means you support the vision of bringing more art, education, and music to the Greater Applegate region and comes with free parking at future events as well as a discount on these and other events for the year. We would love it if you become a member so we can fund all of the amazing things we have coming up this year and bring Pacifica to its fullest potential. There is a minimum, but there is no maximum for your generosity. As always, the guidelines for ecstatic dance are there are no shoes and no talking on the dance floor. Please respect yourself and others. No photography on the dance floor and if you want to take photos in other areas, please ask consent. This is also an alcohol and drug free event.
