Beautiful and unique buildings mixed with high end production, cutting edge technology and filled with big acts, big outfits and bigger imaginations It's a new century and we're ready for a new twenties! ▼▼▼▼ ATTRACTIONS ▼▼▼▼ We're bringing dance troupes, fun Casinos, sideshows, cabaret, burlesque, steampunk exhibits, magic, and more! We're installing a big stage, sound system and lighting rigging to go with our fantastic acts. Steam Punks and Diesel Punks. Rockabilly and Dropabilly. Cabaret and Cabarave. 20s and 30s. Hats welcome (and encouraged). Where costumes aren't available smart attire will be adequete. (Men - shirts and shoes, women - a nice dress. Or cross dress if that takes your fancy! Looking great not genders is what interests us x ) ▼▼▼▼ THE MUSIC ▼▼▼▼ Big R Big Band A 16 piece traditional big band with nationwide shows under their belt shall be providing a fantastic sound track for all those Swing dancers out there. Dashing, debonair, dandy and dapper, the classic swing tunes of the 30's and 40's are looking, and sounding, pretty damn good! ---------------------------------------------- We'll have DJ's playing original Swing/Lindy Hop/Jazz and Electro Swing. And of course we'll have an appropriate headliner. Line up TBA ▼▼▼▼ THE VENUE ▼▼▼▼ For us a venue is as important a role in an event as the music is. Portland House was built in the 1920s originally as a bank. It has huge striking architectural features making it quiet the impressive space for a decadent (& debauched) affair. There are some features of this venue that we're keeping secret for now but we'll announce them in the new year, just thinking about what we're going to be doing here gets us giddy with excitement.
