The Savoy House Bands - Swing DJ Relay with Adam Lee-Morgan

This month we commemorate the anniversary of the Savoy’s opening on March 12, 1926 with a special historical presentation from Pittsburgh-based jazz scholar, dancer and bandleader Adam Lee. Then it will be YOUR turn to share your favorite tunes from the Savoy house bands, from Benny Carter to the Savoy Sultans, Erskine Hawkins to Lucky Millinder and Rosetta Tharpe. Swing DJ Relay is a monthly community event where DJs, dancers and musicians from all over the world get together to discuss the music and the artists that make us dance.
