The Subway Soul Club Spring Fling!

THE SUBWAY SOUL CLUB is back for another shindig featuring vintage vinyl: Sixties Northern Soul, Motown and Go-Go Grooves. DJs will be SSC resident Phast Phreddie the Boogaloo Omnibus and special guests Gene Merideth (Scooters Originali) and Sheila B (WFMU’s “Sophisticated Boom Boom”). And of course Brit hostess with the mostest Lady Dawn will be fluttering about in her vintage mod finery. Be cool and wear yours, too! THE SUBWAY SOUL CLUB has been New York City's premier sixties soul dance club since 2001. The event will take place at Lucille's Bar & Grill, located at the celebrated B.B.Kings Blues Club, known for live performances of such soul greats as Aretha Franklin, Darlene Love and James Brown. Of course it wouldn't be SUBWAY SOUL if we didn't have a gorgeous wooden dance floor and groovy Sixties big-screen projections. Lucille's also offers ample comfortable seating so you can dine on Lucille's tasty soul food before you dance to fabulous soul music!
