United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC) Division 1 Couples World Champion and Masters Competitor—and professional ballroom instructor—Brittney Valdez headlines the November 27th West Coast Wednesdays (WCW). “We’ll have an absolutely phenomenal time this week,” Brittney says. “I’ll be taking my fellow West Coast Swing (WCS) junkies through some new styles, tips and techniques involving anchor step variations, as we unofficially start off the extended holiday weekend at West Coast Wednesdays (WCW).” Brittney’s lessons for the evening will cover: – For the novice class – Let’s Get You on the Dance Floor – Whether you’re new to WCS or need to clean up your basics, the novice class will cover the foundation of the dance, applying it to any dancer’s level. – For the intermediate-level lesson – Dance Your Anchor Steps – We’ll cover variations in anchor steps to make your WCS feel more fluid, less square, and more like dancing! OPEN DANCING Open dancing starts at 8:30 pm with guest DJ Don Schanaberger spinning current and new West Coast Swing favorites.
