Sactown Swings @ The Bank LIVE MUSIC NIGHT The West End Quartet $10 cover all ages welcome (Dress Vintage for this band.) 7-7:45 beginning swing lesson 7:45-8:00 an intermediate move for an intermediate dancer (Lindy Hop) 8:00-10:30 = music from The West End Quartet The West End Stompers, led by the west coast Au Brothers, are made up of some of Sacramento's finest swing musicians. Over the years, each member has traveled the country playing for lindy exchanges, competitions, cruises, and jazz festivals. While the roots and focus of the band’s repertoire is on hot swing material from the 20-40s, they have also been known to put a hot vintage spin on well-loved songs from other genres, such as movie or Broadway themes. The Stompers are sure to keep you dancing all night long with their swingin’ tunes! We are excited to be able to bring in an all-star rhythm section to Sactown Swings featuring two icons of the swing scene, Jim Martinez on the piano, and Steve Apple on the drums. We will be dancing on the mezzanine, but directly below us are 5 fast casual kitchens that open at 4pm and close at 9pm. The food is fantastic and the bar will be open. Parking: Plenty of street parking is available on I or J from 8th street and lower. You can also park in the DOCO east garage located at 630 J Street.
