The Westie Party Presents "Mardi Gras" w Victor & Stephanie Loveira

Join The Westie Party for our "Mardi Gras” event on Saturday, February 17th! We're starting with a 2 hour workshop (that you don't want to miss!) and of course ending with a night of dancing! This event is for EVERYONE - singles, couples, friends, etc. Can’t wait to see you there!! GUEST INSTRUCTORS: Victor Loveira will be our guest DJ! Victor has been a DJ since 1980. In 2005, Victor was honored with the “Allswing DJ of the Year” award and in 2012 he was inducted into the DJ Swing Hall of Fame receiving the “Wetzel Award.” To top it off, Victor is an All-Star west coast swing dancer. Victor’s beautiful wife, Stephanie Risser Loveira, will also join us and teach the two-hour workshop with Victor's assistance before the dance. Stephanie started competing in West Coast Swing after winning numerous Hustle championships. STEPHANIE & VICTOR'S WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: 6PM-7PM Competiton/Social Dancing, Tips and Tricks Learn what judges look for and how to be a better dancer. This is not just for competitive dancers. There will also be a critique session (time allowing) 7PM-8PM Keeping the Flow Learn how to keep your dance moving & stretching and make it more smooth. PREREQUISITES FOR WORKSHOP: You must know the basics of west coast swing to get the most out of what Victor & Stephanie are teaching. Knowing a little more than the basics is ideal. :-) PRIVATE LESSONS: Stephanie and Victor are both available for private lessons! Lesson times are Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning or early afternoon.
