Join us for an early celebration of the return of ELX in September 2013 with a fantastic opportunity to get out your dance shoes for some serious social dancing and fun. Enjoy Ken Mathieson’s Classic Jazz Orchestra for Dancing at one of Edinburgh’s best dance venues, Lauriston Halls (BYOB) from 7.30pm – 11pm (Band on at 8pm) AND Blues after party from 11pm - 3 am at The Study, Teviot (bring ID) AND Introducing a very special Jack & Jill Competition for dancers new to Swing! (details below) Tickets are £8 (pay on the door) The Jack and Jill Contest We are inviting the up and coming dancers from across Edinburgh to have fun and compete in the Jack 'n Jill dance contest* to be held on the 15th of February. It is open to dancers with a year or less experience. It goes without saying that everyone competing will be a winner but for one lucky victorious couple we are extremely proud to offer... A one week social pass to the world famous Herrang Dance Camp, Sweden! *Leads and Follows will be RANDOMLY paired up and all couples will take to the floor for each song in the preliminary stage.
