World prayers, flute and hand drum samples are a hallmark of Scott's sound while the juxtaposition of his hip-hop turntablist roots create a one-of-a-kind dance journey. Since 2016 Scott has released 6 full length albums working with many amazing collaborators such as El Buho, Mose, Poranguí, Alex Serra, Liquid Bloom, The Polish Ambassador, Ayla Nereo, Wildlight, Uji, Yemanjo, Volo, DJ Taz Rashid, Equanimous, and many more. Contact Improv: Kellyn Foxman (she/her) believes that all practices worthy of our precious time are rooted in love, truth, and a good sense of humor, and contact dance beautifully blends them all. As a member of the Ecstatic Dance community, a practicing yogi, and dancer for over ten years, Kellyn knows a good time. Movement is her medicine. She believes that once we know the foundations of safe practice, we can expand our sense of self and bend reality with our bodies - it's not as fixed as we thought! Growing up in Oakland, Kellyn started dancing in high school. She draws on her countless classroom hours in modern dance, jazz, partner acrobatics/yoga, West African dance and blues. Some of her influential teachers were Bronwyn Ayla, Gabriel Francisco, Wren LaFoot, and Scott Snow. She holds a certificate in Health Education from the National Holistic Institute, and currently practices massage therapy in Oakland, in partnership with Inclusive Massage East Bay. Kellyn's personal mission in life is to empower the wounded-healer inside us all, reclaim our true freedom, and sense our inherent belonging in the universe by building bridges between our heads and our hearts.
