Timba musicality & Salsa con fusion

Hi Friends! I’m excited to offer Timba Musicality and Salsa con Fusion workshops. The goal of both classes is to enhance overall understanding and ability to improvise in social dance. My passion is for music and how it informs us on how to move. Timba Musicality (11-12p) To enjoy all the juiciness Timba has to offer, dancers need to recognize some of the standard hits/accents it provides. This class will use a short salsa choreo to explore these standard accents and options dancers have to emphasize these musical components in their movement. Salsa con Fusion (12:15-1:15p) A play on words emphasizing the fusion of salsa steps and movement with other genres of music in a playful way. Be ready to move to hip-hop/afrobeats/reggaeton music as we use salsa steps to highlight accents in these different music genres. You can attend one or both.
