💢 Downtown merchants and Calle Cuatro Marketplace presents Timba - Rumba el la Calle! A night of Timba Music and Dancing‼️ Join us for a night of dancing to the rhythms of Cuban Salsa/Timba, Rumba, and Cuban Son in the Artist Village (2nd Street Promenade) in the City of Santa Ana. ♦️ 6-7pm: Free Rueda de Casino Dance Lesson featuring Dame Salsa Cubana Instructors Robert Morales & Laura Cristina, who have been teaching for 9 years in Orange County. Rueda de Casino, which means Salsa in a circle, was developed in Havana, Cuba, in the early 1950s. In this fun dance, pairs of dancers form a circle, with dance moves called out by one person, a caller, and the couples execute in unison. In addition, most patterns involve the swapping of partners, where the partners move around the circle to the next partner. The combination of elaborate dance combinations and the constant movement of partners create a visually spectacular effect and a sense of community. ♦️ 7-10pm: Cuban Salsa/Timba Music & Dancing with 🎧 DJ BYRON. Wear flats, dancing is on concrete.
