About this Event

Salsa dancers, would you like to move beyond patterns and start truly dancing to the music? In this special 2-hour workshop, international instructors Jai Sheffield (Australia) & Gabriella Szabo (Romania) will help you develop practical musicality skills that you can immediately apply on the social dance floor. Designed for both leaders and followers, this 2-hour workshop will give you new ways to interpret Salsa music with your partner, making your dancing feel more connected, expressive, and enjoyable. You'll learn how to: - Recognise key elements within Salsa music - Hear and respond to changes in energy, rhythm, and instrumentation - Use timing, movement quality, and partner interaction to reflect what you're hearing - Create memorable dance moments without relying on complicated patterns - Develop greater confidence in expressing the music naturally Rather than focusing on choreography or advanced moves, this workshop explores the tools and concepts that experienced dancers use to make their dancing feel alive, spontaneous, and musical. Suitable for Salsa dancers with a solid foundation in partner dancing who are looking to deepen their understanding of the music and bring more creativity to their social dancing. For leaders and followers.
