Begins Friday Apr 8th, 2022 FINALS Friday May 20th, 2022 Hosted by Vince Torres & Jo Quinones Calling all amazing dancers! Be crowned LA's next Top Bachata Social Dancer! $4,000 IN PRIZES! PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY $2000 + Trophies $600 + Medals $350 + Medals OPEN LEVEL (Non-Professional) CATEGORY $600 + Trophies $300 + Medals $150 + Medals THE RULES No choreography required! Just raw, authentic social dancing. Individuals may dress in casual club style attire. No costumes. Competitors must register and qualify to advance to the Finals. Qualifying rounds are judged by audience response to randomly selected couples. Finals are judged by professional judges + audience response. All decisions are final. PROFESSIONAL competitors are individuals who get paid to teach/perform, director/assistant director of dance companies & have won bachata or salsa competitions. OPEN DIVISION competitors are those who do not receive compensation for teaching or performing. Individuals will be randomly partnered & will social dance in group heats in preliminaries and take the floor one couple at a time for the Finals. JUDGING CRITERIA Musicality, Partnering & Connection, Timing, Technique, Representation of the dance style, Presentation & X-factor, Audience response ADDITIONAL RULES 1. Video submission will only be for out of town competitors, no southern California competitors will be allowed to submit a video submission. 2.
